Safe checks before you call

- Check the breaker for the furnace/air handler, which also powers many thermostats.
Beyond these basics, leave refrigerant, gas, and internal electrical components to a technician.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my smart thermostat keep losing connection?
This is usually a home Wi-Fi or router issue rather than the thermostat itself, though a weak signal location can also be a factor.
Can a bad thermostat cause the whole system to stop working?
Yes. A miswired or failed thermostat can prevent the furnace or AC from ever getting the signal to start, which looks like a much bigger problem than it is.
Can you fix thermostat wiring problems?
Roxly can diagnose and correct thermostat wiring and compatibility issues on an existing system. Ask when you call to confirm scope for your setup.
Do you travel to Stallings for HVAC service?
Yes. Roxly is a mobile service based in Waxhaw, NC and covers Stallings and Union County. Scheduling depends on availability and drive time.
